VDEV Construction was built on a simple idea: do the work the right way, build it to last, and treat every home like it carries your family name—because for us, it does.

Founder Alex Vatani grew up in construction, learning the trade through a family company that operated for years with a reputation built on craftsmanship, structural integrity, and accountability. Alex began his career in the Bay Area—working in Silicon Valley and helping run the family business—where high expectations, tight timelines, and detail-driven execution were the standard. That experience still defines how VDEV operates today: measured planning, disciplined scheduling, and quality control at every phase.

Drawn to Southern California, Alex relocated to Solana Beach to continue his family’s legacy of home building, design, and construction in North County and greater San Diego. The location changed, but the principles did not. We combine old-school craftsmanship with modern project management to keep projects organized, transparent, and moving efficiently.

Today, VDEV specializes in high-end residential construction, including custom ADUs, major remodels, and premium kitchen and bathroom transformations. We support design-build projects alongside your preferred architect or designer, or through VDEV’s trusted consultants, and we’re highly experienced in navigating permitting and inspections—especially for ADUs and complex remodel scopes.
